Easy storage for sachet samples

Remember the big box I received few days back?

I emptied all 10 sachets of the Hada Labo Lotion into an empty container.
It filled up slightly more than half of the big container.

I have too many sachets lying around.
Sometimes if I use them at home, it can be a little troublesome as the liquid will leak out of the edge.
Esp this kinda liquid lotion!
Instead of using it from the sachet and finding too few a drops to be squeezed out and messing up the hands alot, I actually got more out of it by storing them in a container.
Now, applying it is so fuss-free!

I stored my cleansers this way too if I have more than a couple of sachet samples.

It's always good if we keep a few containers aside for future use! ;-)

DIY Facial

It's raining again!
What could be the best thing to do with this kinda weather?

I was getting sleepy, but I didn't want to sleep.
Hence, I decided to do my own mini facial & try out that new Lioele Blackhead Clear Lotion!

I got this Lioele Blackhead Clear 200ml from Lush Beauty at just $9! (Original price: $30)

I will not be rating this product since it's only my first try. Instead I will just share with you(for those who don't know this product) how to use it. ;-)

2nd Shattering attempt!

My 1st attempt at the black shatter was a failure & I promised the girls I would be back!

So here I am!

This time round I added Nail Polish Remover to the bottle of black shatter to dilute it a little so that I can save myself from the messy thick application!

I used this pale gold color from The Face Shop instead of the "Simply Smashing"in Serena Glam Slam series.
The color looks a bit peachy in the photo though.

So did the Nail Polish Remover spoil it?
NO! And I really think it's so much easier to apply!
wahahaha!!! Luckily I didn't throw this black shatter away!

This should be a successful attempt!
And looking at the color combination & the way the black polish cracked, I thought of watermelons.
Those yellow-flesh ones!

Since I did my feet, I briefly did my hands too.
Too impatient that I dropped the brush &
splattered the color on my thigh & floor! ;-S
While you are looking at this photo, it has already smudged in reality.
I am so going to remove it off later!

Girls' Party at KX's

After some sun & a good swim, XL & me headed to KX's new house for a Mani/Pedi Party.

Well, as usual, I'm the nail technician. Muhahaha!

At this point of time, I've already managed to bribe Xanthia over with all my beautifying talk & tools!

From avoiding me at all cost, to calling me "My JieJie" instead of "Auntie" like the rest.
I think I'm real good at bribing!! ;-D

Beer-y happy!

KX had her nails in this maroon color(I suppose. Didn't remember which brand or color code).
Added a few stars too!

XL's fingernails in Purple French, which this morning she has already successfully cracked one off
& decided to pop over my place at night to save it.

And I did this to her toes.
Pink & Blue with red stripes & glitter.

XL painting for Thia.
A pretty sheer purple.
After 20mins, she changed her mind & have pink instead.

Me serving the Little Princess Thia.
She hinted every one of us that it would be so nice if she has little silver stars on her toes like Mummy did.

XL & me had a hard time trying to get the stars out from the glitter bottle. ;-|

And this night, I had 2 dinners.
We shall have 1 makeover party soon!
(we'd suppose it'll be Thia's party then)

A Beauty-Full Day

The whole day was spent doing the blog, trimming the eyebrows, painting nails,
trying a purifying mask & packed all the product samples into a bag so Mum will stop nagging
at the getting-too-full-cabinet.

*Feet do not belong to me.

I find a French like this bold but still too boring for me.
Well, Sis likes it. *shrugs*
I wanna capture something more dramatic!

Coming up: NUXE 3 Roses Gentle Purifying and Clarifying Mask review!

OPI: Serena Simply Smashing & Black Shatter

I mentioned that I've gotten the set here.

Was totally anticipating to try out the colors.

But I was dismayed. And almost heard my heart shattering.

Biggest toe: Black shatter in fast application + top coat.
Small toes: Black Shatter in slow application w/o top coat.

The black shatter was in a texture so thick that applications have to be
really fast in order to let it "shatter" nicely.

My bottle of black shatter at the 2nd time of use, has already thickened & hardened
around the edge of the opening.
*Remind myself to clean it with polish remover every single time of use. (if I still wanna use it)

Seriously, i think my toes looked like I stepped on shit.

So after photos were taken for your viewing, I removed everything & paint it with only "Simply Smashing".

I quite like this gold shade.
From the bottle, the color doesn't look as flattering on asian skin tones as it is in actual, hence I was surprised it came out in the tone I really like. ;-)

Valentine's Vouchers

Who says that a gift to your valentine must be an expensive one?

I'm glad I managed to put on a big smile on my recipient's face with these.

In fact, the recipient was laughing away while reading the *terms & conditions*.

How did you surprise your partner/friends with an unusual gift?

Maximise with Minimal

My house ain't big at all.
But we make full use of the limited spaces we have!
Mostly my mum's ideas.

This is how my Earrings/Rings Holder looks like:
Not that I wear earrings anymore.
But Mum is so detailed with the category slots that no matter how many pairs of earrings she owns,
she knows where to find it.

This drawer contains little baskets like these to hold our bangles/wrist accessories.

Here's one of my wardrobe doors.
Most peeps who popped by my place will see this after they open the wardrobe.
I think there's 30 over necklaces here?

Imagine if we didn't "hide"our accessories like this....
I can sure visualise the mess.

Don't complain of the little space you have, think of how you can maximise their uses instead!

Beautifying Nails

CNY is just 4 days away!
Of cos, it's time to bling up my nails again!

A whole day of saturday spent blogging, trying out products & doing my own nails
are the best way of a relaxing weekend.

Last night while I was drowsing myself to sleep,
I had the precise idea of black & white irregular painting for my toes.

Had wanted to do checked black-white, but then it's tedious
& I know my back will ache terribly after that.

Painting the basics.
And yeah, I didn't want both sides to look identical.

Opposite colors as french for the smaller toes.
A fence-like shape on the big ones.

A layer of silver glitter over to bling up the matte-ness.

This color tone is so ME.
Agree?

I did a simple light color for the hands with the thought of them looking more shiny natural.
Achieved by just only the transparent silver glitter & glittery light pink.

I think if my nails are longer, this could pass of looking like gel nails.

Yipee! Done!
In exchange for neck/back ache. ;-S

Mini Beauty Party

I forgotten about this post totally!

Had thought I already posted it up, then kept searching for this post and realised it's saved in my drafts.

Anyway some time last week, we went over to Cecilia's house for a girls-only party.
A post Gaga Queen's birthday treat as well!

Our session includes:
Angie's home-made scrub for hands/feet
Classic Mani
Express/Classic Pedi
DIY Banana Mask
Face Massage

Seriously, 6 hours weren't enough!
End up I only managed to briefly paint my toes nails. ;-(
Gaga Queen & the girls.

Mahjong table converted to our manicure area right outside her room.
It's so messy, so many nail colors lying around too.

Angie bared face & all ready for her DIY banana mask
that comprised of mashed banana & milk. (I think?)

I was so packed with nails "appointments" that I didn't even have the chance to take any more photos.

Gaga Queen were shocked that I actually exfoliated her hands with massage lotion.
Power right!
Rocky were forced to sit thru with us.

Anyway, hope the girls enjoyed the session!

Silver, Coral, Pinks & Purple Fusion (Makeup)

Came across these 2 images while surfing the net.
Look at the colors! so cute right! (yes yes, I know it's so NOT me.)
And I got this idea to create a "magical" makeup using the small makeup palette AK gave me.
She said this color palette made her look like some chinese zombie or wat... ;-S

From looking at it, I actually find it lovely!
Top: Silvery White (these are my own terms for easy reference later)
Left to right: Coral, Light Pink, Dark Pink (Colors seen in photo may differ slightly from the real)
I think the coral & light pink are great for daily makeups too!

I had a hard time persuading sis to be my model!
I was wearing specs, hence it's hard making myself up.

I bribed her to be my makeup model by offering a face massage.
And there she is!
All bare! Face I mean!

After BB cream & Loose Powder Application.
Keep the face dewy & matte(esp around eyes) for the makeup.

I started off with the "silvery white" color on the palette.
Onto the whole eye sockets so as to bring out the rest of the colors more.

Brush the "Coral" color onto almost the whole eye sockets for a 'warm' undertone.
"Light Pink" on the inner half of the eye & "Dark Pink" on the outer half of the eye & bring it out & under the eyes.
I blended them with a heavier intensity nearer the lash line.

Instead of a eyebrow pencil, I filled her brows with a matte dark brown eyeshadow.
Then, using the "Silvery White", highlight the area just under the arch of the brows, inner corner & under the eyes.

I'm using the "Purple" circled in red.

Create an "underwing" by sweeping the Purple color 2/3 of the undereye and out to almost the temple.
You should still be able to see pink tone underneath the purple.

I lined her upper lids with a liquid pen eye liner in black.
Created 2 lines that extended to almost the end of her brows.

Then using the Silvery White again, highlight along the center of the nose, upper lip & chin.

Then for fun, I made 3 dots on the left undereye! Ha!
I wanted to make more, but she's kinda scared.
This is actually the 1st time she has a more dramatic makeup on.

Line the lower in a black pencil, Mascara, 2-tone pink blusher, natural pink lippie + shimmery gloss.
DONE!

For a more fairy-like, can actually try changing into a floral pink/purple dress & accessorize!

More photos behind the scene:
feeling tired from sitting up too long?

Struggling to fluff her flat hair.
And trying to figure out who's that in the mirror.
