The Blood Vessels In The Eyes Could Burst Due To Sneezing

This was what happened to my right eyeball.
Photo doesn't seem so serious.

I would have thought it was my contact lens that caused the red blood vessels to bulg.
Went to the doctor last night, he deduced that it's either I used too much strength or that I pinched my nose when I sneezed, thus causing the pressure to accumulate at the eyeball and making the tiny blood vessels ruptured.

It's common actually. Which I didn't know.
It scared the freak outta me.
He said that theré were patients whose eyes were red all over.
Horrible!

Now I try to sneeze as loud as I can! HAHA!
Pinching is to mute the noise & the spreading of bacteria.
Yeah yeah, I will cover my nose with tissue ok.

Woke up with my breakfast waiting.

Some bread from Delifrance, but we put in our own lettuce, ham, egg & cheese.

The bread's kinda hard & dry. Not the type I like. I love croissants!
I finished it anyway.

As usual, eating while blogging.

I'm off to my massage!
Cya!

  4. @Ben, yup I never knew that too. I only know that when we sneeze we shouldn't pinch the nose but didn't know of the adverse effect it could have.
    Thanks for following!

  6. @Kristen: Yes I pinch ALL THE TIME too and that's what happened. Was horrified thinking that I'm going blind. So glad it's not.
And it's worse for contact lens users as oxygen in the eyes were already reduced. ;-(
