Vermont Curry with a touch of apple & honey

About more than a week ago, I had wanted so badly to cook some Jap curry featured on TV & i finally did it today!

My slave for the NTUC shopping trip:
Tiff was only carrying 1 of the bags.

Tiff saw her kitty friend & began to play.
The kitty saw me pressing the lift button & walked itself to wait right outside the lift.
Then, it waited right outside my gate when Tiff was trying to open it.

isn't it cute?!?! it didn't want to go in UNINVITED.

Hence, the slave(Tiff) was happily playing with the kitty that she just dumped the groceries one side.
Did not even help me at all   ;-|

Okie, back to the main topic!

Introducing the main ingredient:
$6 for 12 servings.
Instant & easy!
I used only 6 servings, & kept the remaining half for next time round! ;-D

Preparing the ingredients needed for 6 pax:
1 big onion (chopped any way u like, but i prefer finely chopped ones)
1 big carrot
6 potatoes
Chicken sausages. (usually people put in chicken meat, but i didn't want such a 'meaty' curry)

Mum was doing the luncheon meat on the left while i sauteed the onions & thrown in the carrots & potatoes.
Oil has been kept to the minimum as i totally hate oily food.
After the above has been stirred fry for 5mins, add in water & bring to boil.
Amount of water i didn't follow the directions on the curry packaging cos I prefer to add according to my own liking.

The box of Vermont Curry comes in 2 packets of this(above) connected.
You can easily use whatever amount you like!
In each packet is 6 cubes. (Approximately 1 cube for 1 pax)
Throw these into the already boiling water.

Left: 5mins after adding the curry cubes.
Right: Around 20mins after.
Just need to stir the sauce occasionally to prevent it from getting too sticky.

If your potatoes & carrots aren't cut into very small pieces, high possibilty that it will take quite a long while to be soft enough to chew.
No worries, just cover your pot/wok & let it simmer! ;-)
On the right: Curry done!

mum's cooking rice with some flavor!
she sauteed some onions, garlic, shrimps & ikan bilis, then throw in to cook in the rice!
the smell is heavenly!!

And here's the result of the fun 45mins of cooking!
Absolutely simple, delicious & money-saving!

I spent less than $12 on this meal for 6 pax!

Alright, got to go for my 2nd round of curry! ;-p
